The 10 Most Successful Women Leaders in Business, 2022

Social media is still viewed as a frivolous time-waster in some business circles, filled with kitten pictures, memes, and viral videos. However, that viewpoint is no longer accurate. Social media is no longer a passing fad or an afterthought in the lives of your customers and clients. If your company does not have an active social media marketing plan in place, you are missing out on one of the most effective and cost-effective marketing methods available. In fact, social media is now an essential component of any comprehensive digital marketing campaign, and a full-service social media marketing agency can be the key to your success.

Aimee Ravichandran, owner and founder of Abundantly Social, understands the need to achieve marketing goals on a limited budget and has created a variety of resources and options with varying pricing to make them accessible to everyone.

Aimee’s hands are full with many plates spinning! She not only has two young daughters, but she also runs two businesses, Abundantly Social and Perceptive PR; hosts a podcast, Author Talk, with her, Russell Little, and Fern Brady on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. CT; is a co-host of The Con Hour with Greg Kelso and C.J. Peterson; and still has time to look after her group of authors on Monday Night Training called Through The Eyes Of Authors and attend Comic Cons!

Early Life

Aimee grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Psychology. During that time, she began working with Sandy Lawrence, the former CEO of Perceptive Public Relations in Houston. That’s where she learned the ins and outs of social media and gained a thorough understanding of managing various types of business social media accounts. She didn’t stop there! She continued her education by taking courses and attending numerous Social Media Examiner webinars to learn about social media marketing and consulting. It was nine years ago. With Sandy Lawrence considering a career change, Aimee has decided to combine Perceptive Public Relations and Abundantly Social.

Aimee is a wife and mother to two wonderful daughters, Meadow and Skye, who are also 13 months apart. She does the dance that many mothers do working and raising kids. She shares, “You can catch me as co-host on these 5 shows and you will get a peek into my life as a mother that runs two businesses from home and is pulling full-time mom duties.”

Aimee received her BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She was getting married and working at a learning center. Aimee recalls, “One of the children’s parents was doing social media marketing and needed some help. She offered to show me the ropes. So I dove into learning all the ins and outs of marketing via social media. I found my niche with small businesses and authors.”

Abundantly Social

Abundantly Social is a public relations and social media marketing firm. Aimee founded Abundantly Social and is still heavily involved in the firm’s client goals and how the team implements them. She likes being hands-on with clients and making sure that their goal is being achieved while showing them how they can manage their social media so they can continue maximizing the momentum of our campaigns.

Aimee opines, “We are a small company, and I prefer it that way. I want our clients to feel like family. Our workforce makes sure that each client gets one-on-one attention to every detail.”

The motivation behind founding Abundantly Social

Starting Abundantly Social was one of Aimee’s scariest moments. She had this idea of going off on her own, not knowing if it would be successful, but knowing that if she did not try, she would always wonder if it could have been successful. It took Aimee two whole days to come up with the name. However, once she purchased the website address, it hit her that this was about to happen—she was about to become a business owner. She recalls, “I had no idea how to run a business, but the challenge of learning how to was appealing to me.” Aimee further adds, “Sandy Lawrence, the owner of the PR firm I was working for, encouraged me to start Abundantly Social. She would go to networking events and pitch my company, etc.As Aimee sees it, Sandy’s support gave her the courage to make it what it is today.

A Focused Person towards Life and Work

Aimee is a wife and mother, outside of being a business owner. She loves hiking and spending time with her family. She has two daughters that are 3 and 2. Aimee states, “Watching them explore life for me is the most beautiful thing.” While Aimee is in her office, she likes to have a professional environment with a relaxed atmosphere. She states that social media started as something that was to bring people together and help them be social without having to be in the same city or state. At Abundantly Social, Aimee has that same environment.

Being a Social Media Marketer

Aimee loves the challenge of trying to stay up to date with the ever-changing world of social media marketing. She states, “Trying to keep up and learning all the new tools and techniques keeps me on my toes. I love it!”  She believes every leader needs to be flexible. She further adds that it’s okay to say no at times. However, you must always strike a balance in your activities.

Recognition as a Professional

The passion with which Abundantly Social engages its clients is one of the keys to its success. That also includes the zeal with which Aimee pursues their objectives. She shares, “Everyone’s journey is unique, and being flexible and open to various methods has been a major part of achieving our goals.”

Aimee was recently named the Best Business Social Media Marketing Owner (Southern USA) by Acquisitions International. Abundantly Social has helped create over 50 Amazon Best Selling Authors in 2021. So the future of Abundantly Social is growing that number to be over 100.
