It is believed that we are all involved in the domain of caregiving. Some of them have provided care. Some people currently provide care. Some people will provide care, while others will require it. We underestimate how even the tiniest act of kindness may make a difference and change someone’s life far too frequently.
Individuals who provide care for others embark on a journey that will change their lives as they overcome obstacles and consider the benefits. Lovely Ranoa-Chia, Vice President of Franchise Operations at In Home Personal Services, considers the opportunity to make a difference by improving people’s understanding of what it takes to care for a loved one as one of her greatest sources of motivation.
Journey to the Best
Being a mother and taking care of family members and patients has given Lovely Ranoa-Chia compassion for assisting those in need. Through the College of Lake County’s Scholarship Grant Program, she later graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2008. Lovely was admitted into the nursing program at Ambria College of Nursing and earned her license as a licensed practical nurse in 2010 while working full-time as a CNA and pursuing college-required courses. Since then, she has gladly embraced a variety of caretaker abilities while working as a nurse. When Lovely discovered her expertise as the Program Director of Matthews Healthcare Education in 2018, she was a proud asset in a home health agency setting, both in the office and in the field. Since then, as the VP of Franchise Operations with IHPS, she has strengthened her credentials in the area of business operations. Lovely received a partial scholarship from Capella University in order to complete her Master of Business Administration with a Specialization in Healthcare Management Systems in 2021.
In Home Personal Services (IHPS)
Michael A. Collura and his mother founded In Home Personal Services in January 2004 with the goal of offering high-quality care to seniors who wanted to stay in the comfort of their own homes. In Home Personal Services offers services and support for caregivers that encourage autonomous and safe home living. Through constant research and innovation, the creation of caregiver training programs that meet and surpass industry standards, and collaborations with other care providers to provide clients with more resources, IHPS genuinely takes pride in offering the highest possible quality in-home care. Additionally, it offers ongoing training and services that ensure consistent, high-quality care.
IHPS is aware that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to home care. To better meet the demands of loved ones, the service models are customized. It provides ongoing evaluations and check-ins to guarantee clients’ welfare and care. This finally gives their families peace of mind because the team of care specialists oversees the care it offers and ensures that everyone is constantly present.
Firmly Holds the Position
Lovely Ranoa-Chia was able to hone skills in this position that she had never before known existed. She feels privileged to develop her leadership skills further and to impart her expertise and experiences to the team and its organization, all the while ensuring that the clients, they serve receive the best possible care.
Lovely oversees a team that assists the system and its Franchisees in all facets of the brand’s operations, and it is her responsibility as the Vice President of Franchise Operations to make sure In Home Personal Services and its franchisees comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. She is in charge of the development of the franchise as a whole. She assures that all services are executed in accordance with IHPS expectations and standards.
Challenge she accepted!
Lovely Ranoa-Chia has expertise working in skilled nursing facilities, hospice and palliative care facilities, home care agencies, wound care facilities, and dementia and memory care facilities. She worked in administrative and clinical jobs as well, including admissions, director duties, quality assurance, and compliance. She has pushed the boundaries of her professional development and personal growth with every opportunity that has come her way. Since then, she has gladly embraced a variety of caretaker abilities while working as a nurse. She has direct knowledge of what it’s like for patients in nursing homes and senior living communities. Without a doubt, the detrimental consequences on patients’ physical and mental health while they were away from their homes and families reduced their quality of life.
When she accepted a promotion opportunity as the Vice President of Franchise Operations of In Home Personal Services, she was given the confidence of her mentors and superiors and faced new challenges. Lovely adds, “It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made!”
Empowers its Employees
For families, In Home Personal Services was created. The idea behind the entire business strategy is that it is possible to run a successful enterprise while also providing a valuable service to others. IHPS is a proud supporter and sponsor of organizations that work to make loved ones’ lives better. It is also an active member of its neighborhood.
IHPS values and empowers its employees as well as their families, and it takes pride in the services it provides. Lovely acknowledges that her kid was given a cancer diagnosis while she was settling into this managerial position. The situation was exceedingly challenging for her family. IHPS and its leadership team didn’t let this lessen her value as an employee; instead, they used it as a chance for her to step up to the plate and learn what it takes to be a caregiver for a loved one, which requires all the support you can muster.
Lovely proclaims, “Today, I am proud to be part of IHPS Senior Leadership and a real-life caregiver to my son, who earned the badge of honor— CANCER SURVIVOR!”
Guidelines for Female Leaders
Lovely Ranoa-Chia suggests learning to control your emotions and embracing vulnerability.
First, she appeals that “being emotional”—which suggests a lack of emotional control—is not the same as being vulnerable. She feels that in order to be vulnerable and trust, we both need to feel trusted. Although you could mistakenly view vulnerability as a sign of weakness, it actually promotes greater trust. This strength seems to be found in women. According to Lovely, developing trust calls for age and experience, which frequently entails putting others before yourself. “I care about you” and “I am here for you” are conveyed through trust. She recommends embracing vulnerability and mastering emotional control because everything a good leader accomplishes is built on trust.
Futuristic View
Lovely follows the quote, “Don’t make plans, make options.”
Lovely believes that having more options gives us the ability to accomplish greater objective results despite tumultuous circumstances, regardless of the course that the situation is taking. She wants to motivate everyone around her as she pursues her career development inside the organization. She wants to be a real mentor who inspires people to keep progressing. She wants to be a leader who inspires people to recognize their worth, unleash their potential, and realize their ambitions. Her objective is to define, create, and communicate the work that will go into being a caregiver, the skills required, and the time and energy required.
“If I can do it, they can do it too.” – Lovely Ranoa-Chia says.
