Tyraa Nicole Caldwell began her career in real estate 17 years ago, in 2005. She began her career as a personal assistant for a real estate agent. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to practice real estate, but she did know she wanted to be her own boss and an entrepreneur working for herself. She recalls, “Back in the 7th grade, one of my teachers mentioned that I would make a great entrepreneur. I can’t even remember why and back then I didn’t even know what that meant, but now as I look back, I know that I was destined for this.“
While working as a personal assistant for a high-producing realtor, Tyraa learned the ropes and learned how to handle everything related to real estate. Since she had learned how to handle everything by then, she chose to pursue her real estate license, which she acquired in 2009, and she began working as a full-time realtor in 2009. It didn’t take long for Tyraa to understand that working with investors was her expertise. She began dealing with investment customers from within the state, as well as from outside the state and nation. One issue was that she never had a very competent property management business to direct her investment clients to in order to clinch the sale. She says, “If you know anything about investing in real estate, then you would know that property management services are key when it comes to investing, and sadly, there were not a lot of good property management companies out there.”
Tyraa, on the other hand, is the sort of person who, if she can’t get someone to do something correctly for her, she’ll find out how to do it herself, and that’s precisely what she did back then. She persuaded her broker to let her handle a handful of her customers’ properties as a real estate agent. Soon, a few customers grew to ten, then twenty, then thirty, then fifty, and she found herself managing all of these clients alone in a small office while still working as an agent. She states, “I knew I had to get my own office at that point and, better yet, get my broker license, so from there I opened my own office. I was able to obtain my real estate broker license in 2015 and there was no stopping from there.” After that, Tyraa took those 50 properties and, as of 2022, over 300 properties under the name Tyraa Nicole property management.
Joining Big League
Tyraa got a contact form message on her website in April 2021 from a man named Chad, who co-owned a property management firm called Slatehouse Management, which was in the process of combining with a tech company called home365. Chad was interested in purchasing Tyraa Nicole Property Management. She mentions, “They currently manage over 7000 properties across the US and were interested in entering the Detroit Market. We were able to work out a deal where Tyraa Nicole Property Management would merge with Home365 and form a partnership, so then Home365 would enter the property management world in Michigan with me, Tyraa Caldwell, as the chief broker and General Manager of Home365 Detroit.“ This is how Tyraa became a part of Home365.
Home365 is a property management company that is re-inventing the property management industry by utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Its property management has been reinvented. No other property management business provides the services that the organization does. It will take some getting used to, as with anything new, but it will become the new normal, and the firm home365 will be regarded as the first to pioneer this new norm. Tyraa is ecstatic to be a part of growing our firm to the next level. She sees a need for this in the current state of property management, as the world is getting more hands-off and easily available, and home365 appears to be leading the way in the new era of property management.
Tyraa’s responsibility as General Manager at Home365 Detroit is to supervise the operations of the Detroit, Michigan region as well as to bring in new clients. She is the chief broker of operations for Home365 in Michigan, which means she will be in charge of the real estate brokerage here as well as the real estate agents that work under the firm’s brokerage, as well as continue to grow a solid team of agents and workers.
Tyraa believes that the greatest approach to establishing a team is to ensure that the talent you are bringing on is there for the right reasons and that they appreciate what they do. Living Content Life
Tyraa is motivated every day by her desire to assist and contribute to the world, and she does her part. She is confident that she has a purpose in this world, therefore she is simply carrying on with the task that she was brought here to perform as an entrepreneur and Creative Talent.
Tyraa defines success as ‘freedom.’ She interprets that as freedom since, after all, that is your ultimate desire. She believes most people’s ultimate goal is to be successful. She adds, “If you are successful, you feel accomplished, like you have accomplished what you desired in life, and once you accomplish what you desired in life, I feel you can be free.”
Tyraa’s future plans to sustain success are just to continue striving. She says, “I have no limits, not even the sky. I really truly feel like I can do anything so with that being said, I don’t plan to stop just waking up every morning and going after everything that I desire in life.“
Tyraa’s advice to the next generation of female leaders is that every human being is equal, and no one is lessor. She says, “We make a difference in this world. We are needed to bring life to the world, so that has to mean something.” With that being said, her advice is to “keep going, keep striving, we have no limits, we can do ANYTHING.”
“Hustle Different”
Tyraa asserts, “We are standing out from everyone else and outworking everyone. Our hustle is a different type of hustle. Outworking the next person Be still and Be lead. This means just going through life organically, doing what you feel is right. Nothing should be pushed or forced. Don’t think about the money, just do the work. The money will come. Do not become attached to the outcome.“
